The Complete Online Drawing Course
This fully structured step-by-step art tuition program is totally unique and based upon the refinement of the four major comparison skills. These are natural abilities that most people are born with and use on a daily basis. By applying the traditional techniques taught in this course combined with your comparison skills you can dramatically improve your drawing ability and achieve amazing results. All exercises and projects are carefully designed to develop and refine your natural comparison skills step-by-step, until they come together as the whole skill of drawing enabling you to create unique and original artworks.
The course is organised into 26 study blocks and can be completed within six months if studying with the 1:1 mentored option. Each study block represents three to fours hours of work. However, if you are not able to commit this much time each week, you have up to 12 months to complete the course.
The Course Units
Construction Drawing: Study Blocks 1 - 3
Outline Drawing is one of the most important foundation skills in drawing and art. You will discover many drawing techniques that professionals use and rapidly develop a high standard of drawing in outline.
Shading and Form: Study Blocks 4 - 7
The key ingredients to make your drawings ‘look more realistic than a photograph’ are revealed. Your drawings will transform from simple outlines into amazingly realistic images with the appearance of three-dimensional depth.
Portraiture Foundations: Study Blocks 8 - 12
Realistic portraiture is seen by many artists as one of the ultimate skills and challenges. You will develop the skills necessary to create lifelike portraits using Graphite pencil, Charcoal and white Conte.
Perspective and Proportion: Study Blocks 13 - 16
You will discover that it’s easy to create an amazing variety of drawings from your imagination and life using the rules of perspective and methods for achieving correct proportions.
Colour Pencil and Colour Theory: Study Blocks 17 - 21
You will learn how to draw in hyperrealism with color pencil and a whole toolbox of special techniques and effects. The simple rules of colour theory are revealed so you can create enticing, vibrant and realistic colour pencil artworks.
Compose Original Art: Study Blocks 22 - 26
This unit brings together everything you have learned during the entire course. You will discover the three major stages that will enable you to transform a single idea or thought into your own completely unique artworks over and over again.
